With a gravestone doji today, certainly seems like it. (Goldman's target, if you're a contrarian, is 1060, not 1000, I believe.)
My parents and I talked about systemic risk and CAPM today ... an interesting conversation. The gist of my mom's argument consisted of something like "taking nonsystemic risk is the only way to profits" or some sort. I claim, however, that this view if correct -- considering that the market is Vegas -- if you consider it to be a slot machine, not a poker table. It's how each player plays the game -- some take nonsystemic risk in hopes of "striking the big one" ... others like me are fundamentally traders, identifying dislocations in the market, situations where true value is distorted. But I digress.
On zerohedge, another day of sorrow and finger-pointing. As the usual.
